Our Purpose

We exist that we might glorify Christ in all we do and say.
 
Our mission:
 
NBC is To Present Jesus to Everyone and to Present Everyone Mature in Christ – as the great commission commands: “Go, therefore, and make disciples of all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teach them to obey everything I commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” [Matthew 28:19-20]

Because Jesus is Lord we will be intentional in both evangelism and discipleship. We want to be used by God to reach the lost with the Gospel — by all means possible [1 Cor. 9:22] – so that lives will be transformed because people come to know Jesus. And we want to grow in Him and see continuing transformation, development and ministry among Jesus’ followers.

God deserves our worship – therefore we value:
 
  • The Bible as the ultimate authority that defines our beliefs and governs our behaviour.
  • God’s salvation through Christ and are compelled by His love to proclaim the Gospel to every person.
  • Growth in Christ through the gifting and empowering of the Holy Spirit and are committed to Bible study, participation in ministry, prayer and godly living.
  • Prayer as a vibrant expression of our reliance on Him; praying at all times, in all things.
  • God’s love & compassion for the world so we will seek to be godly by practical support [a hand up] & assistance [a hand out] to those in need.
  • The local church as an expression of genuine community so we will love ‘one another’ as Christ loves us.
  • Our servant leaders and will equip & empower them to minister as God directs.
