Christmas for the whole family! 

Join us for our Barnyard Christmas and step into the Christmas story with our fun and interactive Nativity Play. The play will last around 45 minutes and includes singing for everyone to enjoy.

Live animals will be part of the Nativity scene to bring the story to life!

AFTER THE PLAY:
Head out to the church deck for a festive sausage sizzle and pat the furry stars of the show at our kindy farm, supervised by trained staff.

This fun event includes:

  • Face painting

  • Christmas crafts

  • Pony rides (supervised by trained staff)

Our Barnyard Christmas will finish by 6pm to suit families with young children.

FAQs About Barnyard Christmas

1. Do we need to register beforehand?
Both attendees and participants need to register. Participant registrations close 30 November. Rehearsals will be at NBC on 30 Nov (3–4:30pm) and after the 5pm services on 30/11, 7/12, and 14/12. Please arrive by 3:30pm on 21 Dec to get into costume. We have limited costumes and props — extra children are welcome to enjoy the play, animals, and crafts. Seats are limited, so if your little one is happy to sit on your lap, we’d appreciate your help making space for others.

2. Is there a cost for the event?
The event is free, including the Nativity Play and activities. Merry Christmas!

3. What ages are the activities suitable for?
The event is designed for children aged 1-12, but older and younger siblings are welcome to join in the fun. The play is family-friendly and suitable for all ages.

4. Will it be recorded?

The event will be live-streamed on YouTube, so family or friends overseas can tune it live or watch it later.

5. Are the animals safe for young children?
Yes, we are hiring our kindy farm from KidzZoo who are sending their trained staff to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for everyone.

6. What happens if it rains?
The event will go ahead rain or shine. The Nativity Play will be indoors, and wet-weather plans are in place for outdoor activities.

7. Is there parking available?
Yes, there is free parking onsite, but it is limited and it’s likely to fill up early. If possible, please consider walking or riding to the event.

8. Can we bring friends who don’t attend the church?
Absolutely! This event is open to everyone! Bring friends and neighbours for a great time!

9. Will there be food options for dietary restrictions?
Gluten free and vegetarian options are available. If you have specific dietary needs, feel free to bring your own snacks or food. No nuts please.

10. Is there seating for the Nativity Play?
Yes, there are approx 220 seats in the church. We appreciate your understanding if you are directed to sit on overflow seating outside the hall.
